I was asked earlier this week by Arena Racing USA to lead the invocation (hopefully not the National Anthem also) at their next Arena Race (Hampton, VA) this Saturday evening at the Hampton Coliseum.
I have been to many of the races because I have two friends who are drivers. You may ask what is Arena Racing?
In Arena Racing, drivers race real, one-half-scale stock cars-capable of speeds up to 100 mph outdoors-on a custom-designed, high-banked indoor track. Each individual Arena Racing series event includes up to four qualifying heats and four "main" races, as well as a Top Dog championship race. That's up to nine races per night, with a minimum of seven races guaranteed.--Arena Racing USAThe races are really cool. If you have never checked them out before and are in the Charlotte, NC or Hampton, VA areas you should attend at least one race.
